The RAF’s world-famous Typhoon jet is set the delight crowds at Swansea’s Wales Airshow this summer.
It’s the second big name to be confirmed for the two-day spectacular due to take place over Swansea Bay on July 6 and 7.
The annual show is being organised by the council – and the Typhoon, with a top speed of almost twice the speed of sound, is due to appear on both days.
The Red Arrows are due to attend on the Saturday – and there’ll be many other stars of the skies and a wide range of family fun on the ground throughout the big weekend, including displays, virtual reality experiences and live music.
Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “The Wales Airshow will be a great weekend this summer and we’re delighted that the Typhoon will be flying over Swansea again.
“The airshow, with its fantastic family atmosphere, is a great partner for other big local events such as the IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea and World Triathlon Para Series Swansea.
“It contributes millions of pounds to our local economy.”
