Getting here

Getting here by Car
Please follow the event signage for Swansea and follow the appropriate event car parks / Park & Ride signs. The main display area is location along Swansea Prom between the Cenotaph and Civic Centre.

(Postcode is SA1 4PQ)
Swansea is easily accessed from the M4 junctions 42, 45 and 47 – just follow the Wales Airshow signs.


Parking

A number of car parks and Park & Rides are available over the weekend. Please check our Parking page for full information, helpful maps and to pre-book online.


Road Closures

There will be a number of road closures and diversions on the weekend in order to ensure the safety, security and enjoyment of those attending the event.


Car Sharing

If you are travelling by car please car share if possible. Car sharing will help you save money by sharing the costs and reduce the amount of traffic on the roads, helping the environment.


Getting here by train

The nearest railway station is Swansea Central, located on High Street, which is approximately 2 miles away. A taxi rank is situated outside the station. If travelling by train, make sure you leave at least an hour to get to your train from the event site. Event goers should be mindful of the timing of the event and are advised to check with the operator www.traveline.cymru

Local Buses

First Cymru are the largest bus operator in the area, with bus routes spanning all across South and West Wales. To plan your journey by bus, just use the journey planner on the First Bus app, where you can also buy tickets and track your bus live.

Road closures across Swansea will affect where some routes can operate, for more information check the First Cymru website.

Coach Parking

Drop off at the Civic Centre (County Hall) at one of the bus stops then move the vehicle to the coach parking at the Fabian Way Park and Ride (dedicated coach parking spaces will be made available). Coach Parking is £10 for the day at Fabian Way.
Fabian Way Park and Ride site is situated just off the A483, approximately 1.5 miles east of the city centre.

Walking And Cycling

Local people are being encouraged to walk or cycle to the Airshow if possible.  Cycle routes are open apart from the cylce path on Swansea Prom between the Mariott and Sketty Lane which is closed. This is closed as the Prom will be very crowded around the ground display area at St Helen’s and each afternoon during the air display’s, so please use the cycle track on the other side of the road.
