Swansea Prom was teaming with activities, flight simulators, a fun fair and even an inflatable assault course!
The ground displays at Wales National Air Show opened from 10.00am - 6.00pm.
There were lots of displays for the kids (and young at heart) to try out in 2011...
Including a real Typhoon cockpit – for kids to imagine reaching speeds of Mach 2! The crowds were able to build a camp fire, see a Chinook helicopter, a glider and army tanks up close.
Climbing walls
Test out your agility with the RAF and the Army! There'll be several climbing walls along Swansea Prom with training leaders on hand to get a leg up.
Beach activities
The Army brought their inflatable assault course which was located on the beach between Civic Centre and St Helens.
You can find sports sessions and bouncy castles on the beach too - have a look at the map to see where the displays were located.
Life on board
The Royal Navy were on hand to give a glimpse into what life is really like on board ship.
Armoured vehicles and weapons displays
The Army displayed military equipment and armoured vehicles during the event,
including the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
Look out for Wales National Airshow 2013 in Swansea Bay, part of the Swansea Bay Summer Festival.
Refreshments
A full range of food will be available in the ground display area around the Recreation Ground and Cenotaph and also around Civic Centre. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available.
The food range will include jacket potatoes, curry, burgers, fish and chips, hogroast and crepes, as well as icecream, doughnuts, sweets and fudge.
